Personal Biography

Born on a cargo freighter, Yue grew up as a boomer on her father's ECS freight vessel. By her early 20s she was familiar with all the working of their ship and an able mechanic.

Her family was steeped in old traditions, hard working and valuing duty and honor above all else. Rumor has it that she is descended from a noble house in the Eastern Coalition prior to World War III and into the cultural recovery period following the devastation. By 2148 they had built up a private fleet of a dozen ships; humorously but respectfully referred to as the Wang Dynasty by many in the ECA. That was the year Yue married Zhang LongWei, Captain of one of the other ships in the fleet.

Before the presence of Starfleet in the distant reaches of their sphere of influence, the family was forced to provide their own security. Yue therefore grew up learning how to fight, often roughhousing with her older brother LiWei and other members of the crew. In 2150, tragedy struck when Nausicaan raiders attacked her parents' ship, murdering everyone aboard. In 2151, Yue also lost her husband in an accidental cargo fire aboard their ship just five days after successfully evading a Nausicaan attack against their own ship.

With the loss of her parents and husband leaving her emotionally lost and disenchanted with the increasingly dangerous and isolated boomer life, she decided to join Starfleet. She saw it as the most reliable way to bring peace and security for those she loved. It was a controversial decision among her clan, leading to a split between she and her brother, who inherited the fleet from their father. The two have not spoken sense.

Personality

Generally quiet and reserved, Yue is a dedicated and loyal worker. Her personality can border on obsessive when a project needs to be finished, and her temper can be extremely short and violent when tested. Once befriended, however, she is very easy going and friendly.
An ornate tattoo of a traditional chinese dragon decorates her back. It is a reminder of her husband, LongWei, whose name meant Great Dragon.

Service Record

Yue excelled in the engineering program, due in large part to the practical experiences of her boomer background. She was assigned to the Sol-class ESS Amaratsu following graduation where she loyally served for five years, attaining the rank of LtCmdr and the position of Chief Engineering Officer. Following the battle with Klingon and Romulan forces at Jupiter's Ghost, she accepted transfer to the Meridian to assume the positions of CEO and XO.
